Fwd: Before and after: bamboo 🎍 pile in back & re Glacier NP

>

Steve, I managed to clean up the old bamboo and put it in the organics bin. I couldn't find anything in the Bellflower code that bans bamboo waste. We'll see if they take it or not. Oh, and I also moved the cornhole boards back behind the studio because it seemed to bother you that I pulled them out.

Also about our alleged family trip to Glacier NP (presumably in the 70's, or early 80's,  none of the kids would have been left behind at such an age).  I have tons of photos from our various summer trips from the family photo albums but I can't find a single picture that shows anything definitively from Glacier National Park, not even any of the famous landmarks at Glacier, not even the  entrance sign at Glacier, nor taking the historic bus ride at Glacier , nor  at famous St Mary's waterfall etc.

Since  you apparently remember going there, can you fill in some of the blanks re what hikes we took, etc ? Did we drive straight there from Grand Rapids ? Which route did we take etc ? Do you know of any pictures? What year was it ? I can't imagine going to Glacier and Jim not taking some pictures.

We have pictures from every summer trip: Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, JacksonHole Tetons , Rockies , Zion, Bryce ,Grand canyon, Estes Park and many more, but nothing from Glacier?

Anything you have to help fill in the blanks would be appreciated. I won't believe we were there until I have some sort of definitive evidence.

And what makes it more frustrating is because I've been there several times on my own and having taken some of the classic hikes and so if there was anything in the photo album I would immediately recognize it, if it was at Glacier but I can't seem to find anything . Help !

Did you ever take a family trip there with  Kris and kids ?

Anyways, I know you won't answer this email,  but maybe you'll read it and then next time I see you 30 years from now or at the next parental funeral , we can talk about it.

God bless you ✝️

By the way, I don't know what route you plan to take for your summer trip but if you've already done most of the big (& crowded) national parks you might want to consider place called Canyon De Chelly National Monument. I went there for the first time last summer and was amazed at the beauty of it - kind of like the Grand Canyon but without the crowds !

Or if you're interested in going a different route you might consider driving up the  California Oregon coast all the way up to Washington Olympic peninsula and take some of the hikes in that area and then cross over to the Cascades & keep going east  you pass by Glacier in Montana and you can continue east all the way to Michigan- if that's your ultimate destination . its a fascinating route along the  northern edge of the USA/ Canadian border .

Back roads are always better
( if you have the time)
Anyways, have fun 👍
